Platonic
Solids |
|||||||||||||||
The "Platonic solids"
are regular polyhedrons likely to enter in a sphere. All the faces of
a solid are identical, and made of isometric polygons; in other words,
all the angles at the vertices are equals. There exist only five polyhedrons
having these peculiar geometrical characteristics; and the ancient Greeks
had given them specific symbolic significations. |
